The Challenges of Funding Your Marketing Outreach
You want to raise awareness, recruit supporters, and mobilise action online. But marketing budgets are already stretched, and every pound you spend on ads is a pound not spent on service delivery.
To make everything worse, the big grant funding organisations you approach demand that you show how you'll diversify your funding streams so you don't become reliant on them, whilst simultaneously restricting your ability to use any of the money they might provide for the promotional marketing needed to attract other donors, creating a vicious circle that stymies growth.
At Fifty2M, we understand these challenges, and have devised a unique new approach to help your charity or non-profit meet them.
Our Unique Solution: A Brand New Partnership Model
Professional Facebook & Instagram campaigns designed and managed by us, paid for by supportive, values-aligned businesses we find for you. Stop dipping into your reserves, diverting money from the front line, and avoid the frustration of the restrictions imposed on you by grant funders.
Imagine how transformative it could be to invest in Facebook and Instagram ads that help you reach and connect at scale with beneficiaries and benefactors alike, with campaigns built by experts, but where it costs you nothing.
We can now make that happen in three easy steps.
- We connect you with a business that shares your values
- They fund co-branded ad campaigns we build for you
- You reach more people without draining your resources
Example: Health Charity x Sportswear brand
The partnership: A UK health charity runs a nationwide virtual fun run to raise awareness and recruit supporters. We bring in a running wear brand that wants to engage health-conscious, active audiences. Both the charity and the brand will benefit from reaching the same audience of runners, fitness enthusiasts, and families interested in health and wellbeing.
The funding model: The brand partner makes a Restricted Funds donation of £9,000. The charity allocates this 50% to ad spend and 50% to our professional creative and campaign management fees.
The campaign: we design and deliver a Facebook and Instagram ad campaign using ads that feature both the charity and business brands, targeting the shared audience. Based on global benchmarks, the campaign could expect to serve around 450,000 co-branded ad impressions, generating 4,500 clicks through to a co-branded event sign-up page, with 3,600 of those clicks resulting in engaged landing page views, and yielding 300 event sign-ups.
The results: the charity gains 300 new supporters that each pay to participate in its event, and because the ad costs are covered, the event generates a useable surplus with no diversion of core funds. The brand partner benefits from the positive 'halo effect' of being associated with a good cause, and enhances its CSR credentials. Together, the charity and the business gain a significant brand boost, with their co-branded ads reaching an audience of around 280,000 people.

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that a new approach can come with questions. Here are some common queries we anticipate, designed to provide clarity and peace of mind.
We identify organisations whose values and audiences align closely with your mission. This ensures authenticity and maximises the benefit of the partnership for everyone.
Of course, you need to be comfortable with them. Our process sees us identify potential brand partners with whom we will hold initial exploratory discussions on a no-name basis. Those that respond positively will then be subject to basic due diligence, after which we will put forward one or more brands we believe are a good fit and that have indicated a strong interest in supporting your work. You then have the final say on which brand (where there's a choice of more than one) you'd most like to partner with. We then make it happen.
Generally speaking, no, we undertake this work at our risk. In exceptional circumstances, should you repeatedly reject candidate brands we put forwards, meaning we have to invest more time and effort in seeking to recruit alternatives, we reserve the right to levy additional charges to meet our extra costs.
Yes, there's no such thing as a free lunch! As we don't charge for finding and pitching potential brand partners, or carrying out due diligence on them, we earn our living from delivering the advertising campaigns we help to find external funding for.
Absolutely. Campaigns are co-branded and developed in partnership with your team, and that of the brand partner. The final messaging and creative are always agreed before going live.
